LOFOB is an NGO based in Grassy Park, Cape Town, South Africa providing a wide range of independence development services to partially sighted and blind people. Our early childhood development centre is the only one of its kind in the Western Cape and is managed by Occupational Therapists. The adult independence service is a synergistic programme making use of the expertise of a social worker, occupational therapists and mobility training instructors. The sport and recreation programme is managed by a biokineticist (sport scientist) working in conjunction with both the ECD and adult independence services.
All the programmes rely on this specific expertise to ensure that our clients receive the best possible training. LOFOB has ensured that it remains a world-class organisation and has attained the following registrations:
